Project : CityUHK Community Healing Hubs in Tai Po
The project of CityUHK Community Healing Hubs is funded by China Hongqiao Group Limited. Guided by the theory of social prescribing, the Project aims to provide a one-stop physical, mental, social and spiritual wellness support for families and people who are affected by the fire in Tai Po. Apart from a professional team with expertise in clinical psychology, social work, and counselling which offers intensive grief and trauma informed practice, the Hubs also train community link workers to listen and connect families and people to activities, groups, and community resources that heal and address their needs. With the care, support and connection of the community, families and people can live the best lives as they can and grow in confidence.

Duties :
Plan, oversee and manage the overall operations and administration (including staff recruitment and supervision) of the Project; prepare strategic year plan, programme plans and reports; coordinate research, programmes, and events arrangement; manage the finance matters (including budgeting, procurement exercises, forecasting and reporting); provide direct social work services including grief and trauma informed practice and train-the-trainers programmes for school and helping professionals; liaise with different offices of the University, funder, NGOs and different community resources in Tai Po and the larger community in Hong Kong; ensure the project is in compliance with the plan and all applicable regulations; and perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
A Master's degree with at least 8 years' post-qualification working experience in social work field. Out of which, at least 3 years were at the management position. Candidate with a PhD degree or substantial research experience will be an asset for consideration; being attentive to details; good problem-solving and supervisory skills; preferences will be given to candidates who are Registered Social Workers with excellent knowledge in project planning and development, and skills in administration and project finance management.
The appointees should have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); ability to work in a multi-tasking environment with innovation and creativity; and self-motivation with a strong sense of responsibility; and ability to work independently and effectively in a team are required. The appointees will work at the Hubs in Tai Po and be required to work irregular hours (including weekday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) on a need basis and report to the Principal Investigators and work closely with other team members and collaborating parties of the Project. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service :
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
