Trajectory Development Manager (Kwai Chung / Tin Shui Wai)

Sheng Kung Hui St. Christopher's Home, founded in 1935, began as an orphanage taking care of homeless children. Currently, the Home is the largest non-governmental organization in Hong Kong providing small group home service for children who cannot receive adequate family care with the mission to create and sustain a caring environment for children and youth to grow, to develop potentials and to live a life of fullness. Throughout the years, in meeting the society's evolving needs, St. Christopher's Home has started and is now providing multi child-focused social services and projects in Hong Kong, including Foster Care Service, Nursery, Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions, Clinical Psychological Service, Service for Children with Special Educational Needs, Family Support Service as well as Youth Co-living Project. The Agency is looking for high caliber candidates in resource development and marketing for the above position(s).

Responsibilities :

  • Assess the unique needs, interests, strengths, and aspirations of C&Ys and empower them to co-develop an individualized development plan ("IDP") from a positive developmental trajectory perspective.
  • Assist in building the opportunity network of the Social Capital Platform and cultivate meaningful partnerships with community stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support to C&Ys in sustaining a positive developmental trajectory after discharging from SGHs or other residential child care services throughout the project period.

Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in Psychology, Education, Guidance and Counselling, Social Work, or a cognate discipline; Non-degree holders with commensurable experience (e.g., relevant frontline experience) are also acceptable; candidate with a social work degree can be recognized as ASWO;
  • Experience working with C&Ys would be a great advantage;
  • Capable of working in SGHs and effectively engaging with stakeholders and C&Ys from diverse backgrounds;
  • Self-motivated, independent, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Good command of both Chinese and English.

** As the "Sexual Conviction Record Check" mechanism has been implemented, the Home will require prospective employees to apply for a sexual conviction record check and authorize Home and Units to check the results.
