The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting with the payment and reimbursement of academic staff in accordance with the University's policies; (b) maintaining and updating the Department's research database, and generating reports as needed; (c) assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of office facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment; (d) supporting the implementation and use of office automation tools and systems to streamline workflow and enhance operational efficiency; and (e) performing other administrative duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree; (ii) at least 2 years' post-qualification work experience, preferably in the tertiary education field; (iii) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) the ability to work as an effective team member, with a strong sense of responsibility and high motivation; (v) the ability to multitask and work independently with accuracy and attentiveness to detail; and (vi) proficiency in computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop, etc.). Having knowledge of office automation tools and systems will be an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
