Clinical Psychologist (Part-time)

Sheng Kung Hui St. Christopher's Home, founded in 1935, began as an orphanage taking care of homeless children. Currently, the Home is the largest non-governmental organization in Hong Kong providing small group home service for children who did not receive adequate family care with the mission to create and sustain a caring environment for children and youth to grow, to develop potentials and to live a life of fullness. Throughout the years, to meet the society's evolving needs, St. Christopher's Home has been providing multi child-focused social services and projects in Hong Kong, including Foster Care Service, Nursery, Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions, Clinical Psychological Service, Service for Children with Special Educational Needs, Family Support Service as well as Youth Co-living Project. The Agency is looking for high caliber candidates in clinical psychological service for the above position(s).

Descriptions

Working Location : North Point

Duties :

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to children and adolescents.
  • Provide individual / group psychotherapy to children and/or caregivers in children residential service.
  • Provide training and workshop to helping professionals or caregivers.
  • Provide consultation to caseworkers in mental health related topics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • The appointee will work in Counselling Service Center in North Point and be required to work in different centers territory-wide and at irregular hours on a need basis.

Requirements :
  • Master degree in Clinical Psychology from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
  • Member of accredited register in Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (HKICP);
  • Minimum three years of full-time post qualification experience in child and adolescent psychiatry / child protection / family services;
  • Proficiency in written Chinese and English, and speaking Cantonese and English; proficiency in speaking Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Independent, flexible and ready to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Respectful, communicative and proactive in multidisciplinary teams.
