Full Time Native-speaking English Teacher (NET Grant) (2026-2027 school year)

We are an aided Christian secondary school committed to whole-person education. We invite applicants who share our school mission and values to apply for the above post.

Applicants have to fulfill the "Qualifications for Appointment of NET under the NET Grant" of the EDB.

Descriptions

Requirements :

  • be a native-speaker of English or possess native-speaker English competence;
  • a Bachelor's degree in any subject from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
  • a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a Teaching English as a Foreign / Second Language (TEFL / TESL) qualification at certificate level, or equivalent;
  • valid IELTS results (overall band score of 7.5 or above, with "Speaking" band score of 7.5 or above);
  • undergo a Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC);
  • attain a pass in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (degree). (preferable)

Job Descriptions :
  • strengthen and enrich the English learning environment at school through organizing English activities and leading the English Ambassadors' Team;
  • develop innovative English teaching and learning strategies, materials and activities that are suited to the needs and interests of our students;
  • develop and conduct oral lessons across all levels (S1-S6);
  • develop and conduct English Phonics and Reading Programmes (S1-S2);
  • promote and support Language Across the Curriculum programmes in other subjects;
  • have good understanding of the local curriculum;
  • teaching experience at local secondary schools an advantage;
  • professional training in teaching English as a second / foreign language an advantage;
  • enthusiastic, devoted, patient and enjoy interacting with teenagers.
