Full-time (Contract) Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) (EDB NET Grant)
We are inviting applications for the post Full-time (Contract) Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) (EDB NET Grant) starting from 1.9.2026.
Descriptions
Requirements :
- a native-speaker of English or possess native-speaker English competence
- holder of HKID or valid working visa
- a Bachelor's degree in any subject from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent
- a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a TEFL / TESL qualification at certificate level, or equivalent
- valid IELTS results (overall band score of 7.5 or above, with "Speaking" band score of 7.5 or above)
- Appointees must pass the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) and submit the result to the school.
** Applicants must meet all the appointment and qualification requirements of NETs in primary schools set by EDB.
Preference will be given to applicants with :
- experience in teaching English in primary schools
Main Duties :
- conduct regular English lessons
- design teaching materials and a school-based curriculum
- foster an English-rich environment both inside and outside classroom by organising a variety of activities
- offer support to the English panel as a resourceful teammate
