Full-time Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) (EDB NET Grant) (2026/27)
Descriptions
Requirements :
The applicant should be / possess :
- a native-speaker of English or possess native-speaker English competence
- a Bachelor's degree in any subject from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent
- a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a TEFL / TESL qualification at certificate level, or equivalent
- valid IELTS results (overall band score of 7.5 or above, with "Speaking" band score of 7.5 or above)
- a pass in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST)
** Applicants must meet all the appointment and qualification requirements of NETs in primary schools set by EDB.
Main Role and Duties :
- To conduct regular English lessons.
- To design and implement a school-based English curriculum and relevant instructional materials.
- To facilitate interactive and engaging English learning activities inside and outside the classroom.
- To foster a strong partnership with the NET team and collaborate with local English teachers in co-planning and co-teaching.
Salary :
- Point 16 (Master Pay Scale).
