Founded in 1992, SBHK ( http://www.summerbridge.org.hk ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunity and unlocking potential for underprivileged students through a student-teaching-student English immersion summer programs that delivers high-quality academic support, leadership and life-skills development, and access to transformative educational experiences that help students thrive in school and beyond.
Descriptions
Role Overview
The Program Manager will work with the Summerbridge team to share operational and administrative duties for the organization's educational programs. Responsibilities include the recruitment and supervision of students and staff for the organization's various programs, including the Summer Program, School Year Program, and Sponsor Engagements. Program Managers are also active in staff training, fiscal management, fundraising, and curriculum development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in any discipline;
- Experience working with local secondary school-aged youth; previous SBHK experience an advantage;
- Relevant experience teaching, counselling, or managing groups of university-aged students from diverse backgrounds, with overseas experience preferred;
- Great people skills, and proven abilities in relationship management;
- Excellent presentation skills, communication skills, writing skills, and attention to detail; and
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills (verbal and written) a must; fluency in Cantonese a plus.
