CUHK's Co-operative Education Programme (Co-op@CUHK) is an innovative education programme to strengthen undergraduate students' commercial acumen and essential skill-sets by combining classroom-based education with practical work experience.

The Office of Co-operative Education Programme is looking for a capable team manager to lead the Career Services Team to provide support for external outreach and career planning & development programmes. Duties include (a) overseeing the daily operations of the team and supervising team members; (b) acting as the primary liaison between different stakeholders, including senior-level external stakeholders, employer partners, and students in identifying new placement opportunities that align with Co-op@CUHK's strategic targets and increasing diversity from various employers hire; (c) developing career development programmes and employer engagement initiatives, shaping and executing career plans and external outreach, such as company visits, employer events and other career enrichment activities; (d) handling student career development and placement progress, providing career advising support to students on job search process; (e) monitoring the student placement progress, following up closely with employers and students in the entire job application, selection, interview and offer process; and (f) performing other duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours and occasional business travel will be required.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree, preferably with a higher degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website : https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo ; (iii) at least 8 years' professional executive experience (for Executive Officer I); (iv) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) competency in computer / IT applications; (vi) excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player as well as independently; and (vii) a strong sense of responsibility, a self-motivated and committed work attitude, with the ability to multi-task under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Having experience in external outreach and/or human resources / recruitment will be an advantage. Prior experience in team management would be desirable. Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
