The appointee will be required to (a) deliver and supervise nursing services by providing current, rational and professional information and services; (b) work independently on all aspects of nursing duties, and provide quality, efficient nursing care at professional standard; (c) participate in nursing practice management and health education in the University Health Service; (d) make appropriate judgment and decision over issues or tasks encountered on daily basis; (e) undertake on-call service for all first aid and emergency care within the campus during office hours; and (f) supervise clinical assistants in taking up clinical duties with the advice from senior officers.
Applicants should (a) have a Certificate of Registration (General Part) issued by the Nursing Board / Council of Hong Kong; (b) have post-registration clinical experience in nursing at primary health care settings; (c) have a valid Annual Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (d) possess good communication skills and the qualities as a good team leader as well as a good team player; and (e) have a good command of both English and Chinese, including fluency in Putonghua.
Preference will be given to those with a recognised degree in Nursing Studies plus five or more years of relevant experience OR a recognised certificate or diploma in Nursing Studies plus eight or more years of relevant experience; and have experience in clinical leadership roles in the areas of primary health care or family medicine.
Conditions of Service :
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
