Sustainability Officer
St Stephen's College is a co-educational secondary school. Our scenic campus resides in the heart of Stanley, the southern tip of Hong Kong Island. We provide boarding services to 400 students, who are under the care and guidance of our resident teachers. We pride ourselves on our strong Christian ethos, expansive learning environment, outstanding staff, and forward-looking initiatives.
Under the Direct Subsidy Scheme, St Stephen's is an IB world school. We provide a dual-track programme (the IBDP and the HKDSE) for senior secondary levels. We are looking for passionate people to join our dynamic learning and teaching community.
Descriptions
Shape a prestigious sustainability legacy at St Stephen's College. We seek a collaborative leader to transform our historic Stanley campus into a model of environmental responsibility, wellness, and future-ready education.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead whole-school sustainability and wellness strategies, overseeing green infrastructure and campus enhancement projects.
- Leverage digital tools for data-driven reporting, and partner with facilities to reduce resource use.
- Collaborate to transform our biodiverse campus into a "living textbook" through activities, service-learning, and curriculum integration.
- Report directly to the Principals of St Stephen's College and its Preparatory School.
Your Profile :
- Ability to inspire and align students, staff, parents and external organisations around a shared vision.
- A lifelong learner skilled in AI and digital tools to translate environmental data into high-visibility community action.
- Adapt at navigating complex calendars to deliver impactful educational and green initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or above in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Education, PR, or a related field.
- 3+ years in PR, sustainability initiatives, project management, or school-based programmes.
- Teaching qualifications, prior school experience, or knowledge of green school / regulatory frameworks is a plus.
