Descriptions

The NETs / NTAs are expected to :

• Conduct engaging English lessons to promote students' language skills.
  
• Organise language-rich activities for students.
  
• Collaborate with other NETs and local teachers to develop the school-based curriculum.
  
• Lead extra-curricular activities.

• Be a native-speaker of English or possess native-speaker English competence.
  
• Hold a bachelor's degree (preferably in English or Linguistics).
  
• Possess a Post-graduate Diploma in Education majoring in English (PGDE) (preferred) and/or a Teaching English as a Foreign / Second Language (TEFL / TESL) qualification at certificate level recognized by the EDB.
  
• Have valid IELTS results (overall band score of 7.5 or above, with "Speaking" band score of 7.5 or above).
  
• Have experience in teaching English at the primary level. Experience in delivering the PLPR/W programme, designing school-based NET curricula, integrating IT / AI in teaching and learning, and organising language-rich extra-curricular activities would be an advantage.
