DescriptionsMaster of GeoInformation Science and Smart Cities was established in 2004 by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2025 QS ranking #19). It offered by Department of Geography and Resource Management. It is an inter-disciplinary field that involves earth science, information science, and system science. Its focuses are the information of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere and more specifically their formation, changes and interrelations.
This is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time Programme. Students need to complete 28 credit units for graduation, including six required courses, two elective courses and one thesis.
The programme is offered under the Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies, eligible local students could receive scholarships of up to HK$100,000 per student for UGC-funded programmes. -
