School Executive Officer

Maryknoll Convent School (Primary Section) is an aided Catholic girls' school committed to providing quality education in the spirit of the Maryknoll Sisters. We are seeking a dedicated, capable and experienced professional to join our school as School Executive Officer (School ExO).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) and the Principal in:

  • Coordinating school administrative matters and supporting the operation of the IMC;
  • Preparing meeting documents, minutes and other governance-related matters;
  • Assisting in financial resource management, including budgeting, procurement, financial control, accounting and record-keeping;
  • Assisting in human resource administration, including staff appointment, promotion, leave and salary-related matters;
  • Supervising and managing the duties of non-teaching staff;
  • Assisting in school complaints, crisis management, school premises and safety matters;
  • Liaising with parents, school managers, the sponsoring body, government departments, service providers and other stakeholders; and
  • Handling routine school administrative matters and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • A local bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good administrative, coordination and problem-solving abilities;
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in common office applications;
  • Sound judgement, discretion, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility; and
  • Support the Vision and Mission of the School.

Relevant experience in school administration, financial management, human resources, procurement, committee secretariat, school operations or supervision of non-teaching staff will be an advantage. Previous experience as a School Executive Officer is not essential.

Terms of Appointment
The appointment will be made in accordance with the relevant requirements and arrangements of the Education Bureau for School Executive Officers.
