Foster Care Programme
Project Bonfire-Enhancing The Trajectory of Out-Of-Home Care Children and Youth (funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust)
A five-year project aimed to enhance the developmental trajectories of Children and Youth in Ordinary Foster Care placements and to fortify families through practices that are child-centered, data-informed, and integrated within the community.
Duties :
(a) Deliver essential intervention strategies in casework, group work, program and activities to support Family Reunion Program, Family Engagement Program and Age-Out Program. (b) Assess the needs and strengths of foster children & youth, assisting them in developing their individualized development plans. (c) Promote community connections and mobilize resources to establish enduring support networks and enhance the project implementation. (d) Participate proactively in training and capacity-building initiatives; remain informed about the latest research, best practices and trends in children & youth development to consolidate practical knowledge and develop evidence-based intervention frameworks. (e) Compile statistical reports, financial reports and other relevant documents for program planning, implementation and recordkeeping.
Requirements :
(a) Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or above. (b) Having experience in working with children & youth as well as participating in community outreach would be of great advantages. (c) Strong interpersonal skills to engage different stakeholders and work in various work settings. (d) Self-motivated, able to work independently and effectively in a team. (e) Good command of oral and written Chinese and English. (f) Computer Literate. (g) Able to work beyond office hours as required.
