MentalCare Connect Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, is a leading social enterprise in Hong Kong employing over 250 staff, with 60% being PIRs. We deliver employment and inclusion through a diversified portfolio, with over 30 rehabilitation shops and convenience stores, Food & Beverage, Digital Commerce and Media & Marketing.
Descriptions
We are looking for a visionary, business-savvy, and empathetic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to steer our multi-faceted operations into its next phase of commercial growth and social impact.
Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead the organization's strategy and end-to-end operations, balancing commercial performance with our social enterprise mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and execute long-term strategies aligned with our mission and values;
- Provide high-level governance and operational leadership to drive organizational efficiency, risk management, and digital transformation across all departments;
- Lead operations across over 30 rehabilitation shops / convenience stores / cafés, and e-commerce;
- Identify market trends and new opportunities to scale retail, F&B, and marketing services;
- Drive business development initiatives, including identifying, pitching, and securing start-up funds for new social business ventures;
- Set guidelines, compliance policies, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure high-quality operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA / Social Sciences / Public Administration (or related) preferred;
- Minimum 15 years' experience in social enterprises / social services and / or commercial sectors, with a senior management track record;
- Strong retail operations management experience is an advantage.
Key Competencies
- Proven leadership in governance, compliance, operations management, and scaling;
- Strong knowledge of retail business models and omnichannel ecosystems; healthcare market commercialization exposure is a plus;
- Strategic, negotiation, and cross-sector partnership skills to lead diverse teams;
- Fluent in written and spoken English & Chinese, with Putonghua fluency.
Remuneration Package
The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits package includes 18 days annual leave, birthday leave and medical insurance.
