This interdisciplinary programme prepares students with the in-demand skills needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving job market. By integrating satellite applications, remote sensing, GIS, computer-aided design and cartography, multimedia and virtual reality, and Internet-based technologies, students gain the expertise to drive high-speed data digitization and efficient resource management. A key focus is the application of geoinformation science in the development of smart cities, aligning the programme with both local and global urban innovation trends.

Who Should Apply?
This programme is ideal for individuals seeking to pursue or advance careers in geotechnical engineering, urban planning,
natural resource management, environmental monitoring and assessment, disaster monitoring and management, infrastructure and facility management, logistics facility monitoring, information management, and related fields. Students benefit from a balanced mix of lectures and hands-on labs, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Ourgraduates are industry-ready, adaptable, and well-positioned for success in a wide range of professional roles.
Eligible local students may receive up to HK$100,000 in subsidies for tuition fees under the Hong Kong Future Talents
Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies.
