Join our technical team to support the Department's IT services, websites and departmental activities. Working under the guidance of the IT Manager and alongside other technical colleagues, the appointee will primarily provide end-user and operational IT support, while assisting with the Department's websites, events and multimedia activities.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing end-user support and maintaining departmental computer laboratories and audio-visual equipment; (b) conducting IT procurement and administration of IT asset inventories; (c) developing, maintaining and updating departmental websites and online content; (d) providing technical support for departmental events, including photography, video production and publicity materials; and (e) performing other relevant duties as assigned by the Unit Head or Supervisor.
Applicants should have (i) a Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia, Digital Media, or related disciplines; (ii) sound knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and computer hardware; (iii) hands-on experience in IT support, computer installation and troubleshooting; (iv) good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team; and (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua). Having experience in website maintenance (e.g. WordPress or other content management systems), Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
