Program Worker (Elderly in poverty)
SoCO is a non-profit-making human rights community organization motivated by a common dream: "Let us work hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder to build a caring, equal and just society". We are now looking for the committed person for the above post.
Descriptions
Responsibilities :
- Assist to conduct community work for the elderly in poverty at urban slums;
- Assist to organize the elderly in poverty for policy reform;
- Assist to conduct policy research to identify community needs;
- Assist to provide social services and other supporting services for the elderly in poverty;
- Assist to provide emergent direct service for the elderly in need;
- Assist to handle administrative work and provide clerical support for the project;
- Participate outreaching work for marginalized groups.
Requirements :
- Bachelor degree holder of any discipline, degree holder of social science preferred;
- Commit to policy advocacy and serve the underprivileged with critical mind and passion;
- Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin preferred;
- Ability to work under pressure; good team-work spirit; understand and support the mission of SoCO;
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
