The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in the organisation of the Graduation Ceremony, student development, and Staff Association activities; (b) administering Intercultural and Language Enhancement Programs; (c) performing comment work and drafting proposal or reports; (d) supporting facility management and office administration; (e) supporting the College Office in various student-related matters; (f) supervising junior staff and managing the office; and (g) assisting in preparations for the 75th anniversary of the College.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website : http://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo ; (iii) at least 8 years' post-qualification executive experience in the tertiary education sector; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) excellent communication and organisational skills; and (vi) competence in multi-tasking, and the ability to work independently and under pressure. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with a contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
