Finance Office

The appointee will work in the Payroll and Superannuation Unit of Finance Office and will be responsible for college accounts and payroll activities, including but not limited to (a) managing college accounting operation and period end closing; (b) preparing college financial reports, analysis and budgets; (c) providing support and advice to college staff regarding accounting operation; (d) processing payroll payments; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E / Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese, English (Syllabus B) and Mathematics; OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English) : Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, "Attained" or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) a Diploma / Higher Certificate in Accountancy or equivalent, or passed LCCI accounting examination; (iv) at least 8 years' post-qualification accounting-related work experience; (v) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (vi) knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Chinese word-processing; (vii) a customer-oriented mind and good communication skills; and (viii) self-motivation and the ability to manage multi-tasks. Experience in handling full set of accounts and dealing with payroll matters will be advantageous.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement
