Assistant Project-in-charge (Tsim Sha Tsui)

Descriptions

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project-in-Charge in staff supervision, management so as to meet the Project performance;
  • Take over the supervisory and management responsibilities of the Project in the absence of Project-in-Charge;
  • Supervise Project Officers, Project Assistants and part-time staffs to provide guidance and support on daily practice;
  • Identify and liaise internal and community resources for service users;
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to Project Officers to ensure service users receive competent and ethical professional services;
  • Handle complex and difficult cases through providing professional crisis assessment and intervention;
  • Case management, programme planning and development;
  • Develop, implement and evaluate clinical and other service programmes, e.g., therapeutic group in prisons, developmental group, educational programmes and parenting programmes etc;
  • Provide coaching for the mentors to ensure the suitability and feasibility of caring plan for individual mentees;
  • Maintain effective communication and networking with internal units and external organisations; and
  • Provide feedback and make appropriate recommendation for improvement of service process and workflow.

Incumbent Requirements
  • Registered Social Worker with bachelor degree or above
  • At least 5 years' relevant work experience in supervisory / management or children and family field
  • Rigorous experience in working with offenders and ex-offenders, and with in-depth knowledge of the criminal justice system
  • Mature, proactive, courage to accept challenges, pursue excellent work with strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm to service
  • Motivated and with a passion to serve children and youth, family, offenders and ex-offenders
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity in different therapeutic assessment and intervention, especially for children and youth
  • Sound leadership with good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate internal and external teamwork and assist in planning for service development
  • Effective presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Computer literate
