Genomics and Bioinformatics have been developed rapidly in the past 30 years. With the human genome deciphered, the mechanisms of diseases of unknown etiological origins begin to be unraveled. The technology is not limited to medical applications; it has also been widely applied to improve crop production as well as industrial use.To address the challenges raised by advancement in genomics, transcriptomics and epigenomics, systematic training of unified understanding and data analytics is indispensable.We aim at training personnel who are interested in joining the emerging industry in genomics, bioinformatics and personalized medicine. This programme will train students to critically appraise scientific work in related fields, provide students with experience in carrying out genomics and bioinformatics research, and enable students to apply the knowledge learned to their work which is related to biological or biomedical research.Application normally starts in mid-September and ends in May every academic year. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis until all places have been filled. Therefore, early application is strongly recommended.
