Senior Supervisor I & Project Development

The Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries (BMCPC) is an independent statutory body under the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries Ordinance (Cap. 1112). BMCPC provides different kinds of burial lot, niche and ash scattering services on a non-profit making basis for persons of the Chinese race permanently resident in Hong Kong and their relatives, and is responsible for the administration, management, maintenance and development of its four Chinese permanent cemeteries which are located at Aberdeen, Tsuen Wan, Chai Wan and Junk Bay. BMCPC may donate its surplus to any charity operating for the benefit of the community of Hong Kong.

In view of upcoming major development projects in one of the cemeteries, BMCPC would like to invite applications for the above senior post.

Descriptions

Remuneration :
$40,420 to $53,195 (exclusive of gratuity). The offer will commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and working experience.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for overall on-site operations management of the cemetery;
  • Plan and manage all operation activities
  • Contribute to project design, planning and coordinate with professionals and contractors throughout the design / construction phases of new development in the cemetery
  • Contribute to the development, testing and implementation of customer servicing systems and recommend for improvement
  • Develop strategic plans to ensure the initiatives to be met
  • Develop facilities quality standards for continuous improvement of services
  • Implement strategies to enhance the utilization of facilities and properties;
  • Oversee customer services management, particularly in facilities booking / handling, complaints handling, customer satisfaction enhancement; and
  • Facilitate and coordinate events / exhibitions to be held in the cemetery

Requirements :
  • University graduate with at least 6 years' working experience in facility / property management
  • Management and team leadership in large scale commercial complex with varieties of services, including but not limited to exhibition / event / facilities management. Experience in supervising the pre-opening stage of new developments in serving publics will be preferred
  • Strong and proven experience and skill in customer interactions and services under demanding environment, particularly in facilities booking / handling, complaints handling, customer servicing / satisfaction enhancement and related staff team building / training
  • Solid experience and ability to contribute to the development, testing and implementation of related customer servicing systems
  • Solid experience and ability to contribute to project design, planning and coordination with professionals and contractors throughout the design / construction phases of the project
  • Strong leadership with excellent communication skill
  • Mature, self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm to drive project result
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting, able to multi-tasks, organizes and prioritizes works
  • Good knowledge in computer applications (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Terms of Appointment :
  • The successful applicant will initially be offered a 1-year contract, after which a contract of a longer term may be considered
  • Upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Employer to the MPF scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Scheme Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period
