Assistant Programme Manager (Accommodation and Employment) (equivalent to ASWO)

About ImpactHK
ImpactHK is a non-profit that provides the homeless in Hong Kong with friendship, food, shelter, education and jobs. It believes in the power of kindness in tackling the pressing problem of homelessness in Hong Kong. Every day ImpactHK is on the streets supporting the homeless with essentials, building trust and friendships. These friendships open doors towards housing, job creation, sports, counselling, mentorship and nutrition programmes which empower our service users with pride, health and happiness. It is an innovative and dynamic organisation that has helped more than 180 people into shelter in just three years and supported many more with employment opportunities. It has a core team of ten staff, as well as employing eight formerly homeless individuals full time.

Descriptions

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee, plan, coordinate and implement the accommodation programme and occupation programme of ImpactHK, ensure programme design and implementation to facilitate sustainable life transformation of the service users experiencing homelessness.
  • Identify service gaps and community resources to inform effective and efficient design of the programmes.
  • Network and liaise with other service providers.
  • On-going monitor the implementation of the programmes, keep track of outputs and evaluate the outcomes and impacts of programmes.
  • Lead and supervise the accommodation and occupation sub-team.
  • Write proposals and reports, keep records, statistics and files updated, communicate and report to grant funders.
  • Develop tools to evaluate services to ensure users' feedback are channeled.
  • Support organizational mass events.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work.
  • Preferably five years' work experience in NGOs and programme management.
  • Excellent English and Cantonese communication skills (oral and written).
  • Compassionate and empathetic to the situation of the homeless and the underprivileged in Hong Kong.
  • Strong leadership with kindness and care to team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as a proactive team player.
  • Proactive, creative and innovative approach to problem solving and communication.
  • Familiar with mainstream services and community resources for social housing, transitional housing, employment support, etc.
  • Open-minded to work with multidisciplinary teams from diverse background.
  • Exceptional insights in identifying social resources and strengths of clients.
  • Competent MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using Salesforce an advantage.
