Part-time Pharmacist (Locum) (University Health Service)

Appointment period: twelve months

The appointee will be required to (a) perform and supervise medication-use process and provide patient counselling on the correct use of drugs; (b) manage accurate pharmacy records, inventories, medications and supplies as needed; (c) ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice; (d) assist in providing professional support to the financial and procurement activities related to dispensary and pharmacy services; (e) supervise subordinates in daily dispensing work; (f) handle face-to-face enquiries from patients; (g) provide professional advice to medical staff members, with continuous pharmaceutical update; and (h) work regularly on Saturday mornings, and weekdays on an as-needed basis.

Applicants should have (a) a certificate of registration as pharmacist and a valid annual practicing certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong; (b) at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in community pharmacy, government or non-governmental organisations; (c) a good command of both English and Chinese, including fluency in Putonghua; and (d) good communication and interpersonal skills.

Conditions of Service :
The remuneration rate is HK$310 per hour.
