The Office of Academic Links (OAL) serves as the international relations arm of the University, responsible for its global engagements in research and education initiatives. Much of its effort is devoted to the internationalisation of the University's teaching, student experience, research, and outreach. The Office is now seeking high-calibre candidates to join its team of professionals in supporting student exchange and summer programmes.

The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting in planning, execution and coordination of student exchange and summer programmes, including but not limited to orientation and cultural activities, promotion, application, acceptance, visa application, course registration, and housing assignment; (b) advising local and non-local students on student exchange and summer programmes; (c) handling student enquiries and providing assistance in the event of emergencies and/or personal issues; (d) liaising with internal and external units and vendors, and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university; (ii) relevant experience in a multi-cultural environment, an international setting or the higher education sector; (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) strong problem-solving, project execution, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good team spirit; (v) proficiency in Microsoft Office; (vi) the ability to work independently and co-operatively with other team members under a multi-tasking environment; and (vii) a good sense of responsibility and attentiveness to details. Having good knowledge of a third language will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
