Responsibilities :
- works under the Vice-President (Organisational Development) (VPOD) providing a comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative support to the Board of Governors, the Council, the Senior Management Committee and other assigned committees / work groups and handling all related matters, including organisation of meetings, preparation of meeting papers, minutes, reports and related documents, etc;
- coordinates with secretaries of all committees under the Board of Governors and the Council to ensure timely submission of agenda items and papers as well as committee minutes for the purpose of discussion/reporting at Board and Council meetings respectively;
- coordinates and oversees the nomination, selection, and citation preparation for the Honorary Doctorate and the Honorary University Fellowship conferment ceremonies, in collaboration with the relevant Working Group and the Communication and Public Affairs Office;
- oversees the deployment of the administrative staff pool of the VPODO and to work in close collaboration with senior management on the planning and development of the University;
- assists in the legal compliance, management reporting and institutional research, and presidential office management functions; and
- oversees special projects and perform duties as assigned by VPOD and the President.
Applicants should at least :
- possess a recognised bachelor's degree with substantial administrative experience in the tertiary education sector, including secretariat and committee work;
- have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
- have very strong planning, organising, and report writing skills;
- possess strong communication, analytical and supervisory skills;
- be highly self-motivated and able to handle meticulous work independently, efficiently and under tight timelines; and
- knowledge of and experience in corporate secretarial service will be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
