The appointee will carry a job title of 'Senior Human Resources Officer' (at the rank of 'Executive Officer II') / 'Human Resources Officer' (at the rank of 'Project Co-ordinator II') and be deployed to undertake in-house office management and related administrative matters, and to participate in functional responsibilities such as promoting staff engagement and providing personnel services. The appointee will take up general liaison, staff communication and project coordinations. Supervision and coaching of supporting staff are also expected.
Applicants for the Senior Human Resources Officer post should have (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website : https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo ; (iii) at least 2 years' post-degree administrative and/or human resources management work experience, preferably in public sector or sizable organisations; (iv) good knowledge of office site maintenance; (v) an effective command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (vi) the ability to work independently under tight timelines with a positive attitude and high attentiveness to details; (vii) strong administrative sense and interpersonal skills; and (viii) proficiency in computer applications. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written assignment. Applicants who do not fulfill the requirement in (ii) above may be considered for the Human Resources Officer post.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
