We are seeking an effective Project Manager for creative design operations to join our team. As a Creative Manager, the appointee will act as an anchor to balance the limitless passion of our creative unit and the constraints of every project, ensuring that both creative production and business requirements are satisfied. The expertise in project management and eye for design will ensure the successful execution of projects while meeting stakeholder expectations.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning, communicating and reporting from end-to-end for visual content projects, including graphic design for online / print publications, event décor, photography, web interfaces and brand collaterals; (b) facilitating the diverse creative needs of different departments and units across the organization in an organized manner; (c) liaising between creative/technical colleagues and end-product recipients, and translating requirements and issues into executable solutions; (d) designing creative workflows to enhance efficiency and track projects; (e) assisting the team to focus on the work they do best while keeping stakeholders informed and satisfied; (f) ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget and brand compliant; (g) operating and maintaining a centralized repository of visual assets and templates, and ensuring easy access and version control; (h) hosting brainstorming and feedback sessions for creative staff; (i) ensuring the projects meet stakeholder expectations in terms of quality and creative vision; and (j) undertaking any assigned special projects.
The applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Design Communications, Creative Management, and Project Management; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website : https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo ; (iii) 4 to 7 years' experience in a project management or creative administration role; (iv) strong knowledge of design-thinking and PM methodologies, including agile / scrum principles; (v) proven creative problem-solving and visual thinking skills with a keen eye for design; (vi) exceptional co-ordination, collaboration and time management abilities; (vii) solid experience in presenting design work to clients and stakeholder groups; (viii) excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills to effectively collaborate with photographers, designers and cross-functional teams; and (ix) proficiency in creative production and project tracking software. Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment carrying the job title of 'Assistant Manager'.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
