About Saint Francis University
Founded in 1985 as Caritas Francis Hsu College on non-profit-making principles, Saint Francis University (formerly known as Caritas Institute of Higher Education) is committed to offering quality higher education in line with societal and student needs, with flexible and diversified study pathways, in areas including Health Sciences that encompass nursing, physiotherapy and other health-related subjects, and Social Sciences that encompass related professional subjects, to help nurture the talents and manpower needed for building a healthy, caring and inclusive society. Its cross-disciplinary area of Techno-Humanities and Business, encompassing artificial intelligence, business and hospitality management, digital entertainment technology, languages and culture as well as translation technology, enables students to contribute their efforts and talents to creating innovation and growth.
Currently, Saint Francis University offers 13 Bachelor's Degree, 2 Master's Degree and 4 Higher Diploma programmes.
Saint Francis University collaborates with the adjoining sister Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, which focuses mainly on sub-degree programmes, to provide through-train articulation pathways to success so that aspiring young people can achieve their goals, regardless of their starting points. Currently, Caritas Bianchi College of Careers offers 12 Higher Diploma / Associate Degree / Professional Diploma and Diploma programmes.
The successful candidate, subject to compliance with the relevant provisions of Cap. 279, will be appointed as Principal of Caritas Bianchi College of Careers concurrently.

President
The Board of Governors and Council of Saint Francis University are searching for a visionary, mission-oriented and transformational leader to serve as the next President. This individual should be committed to achieving the University's Vision and Mission of nurturing graduates who are not only professionally well-trained and academically well-educated, but who can also contribute to the social and moral well-being of the society through Professional Development, Sound Education and Positive Life Values.
As the principal academic and administrative officer of the University, the President is responsible for providing institutional leadership, management and oversight of the University, while developing and driving the mission, strategies and continual excellence of the University with innovative thinking in learning and teaching, student experience and research with social impact.
The President will be expected to demonstrate financial acumen, overseeing the University's financial health with a strategic and forward-thinking approach to resource management and operational efficiency, taking the University to the next phase of its development.
Key to the role will be building and fostering effective engagement and ongoing dialogues with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including staff, students and alumni, government officials, professional bodies, academic and industry partners, philanthropic organisations and donors, and the church and broader community.
Qualifications
The next President of Saint Francis University will possess a proven track record of exceptional leadership appropriate to this role, with higher education and professional / industry experience preferred. In addition to holistic formation, the ideal candidate will embrace Catholic Ethos and Liberal Arts Education and will be well-aligned with the shared Vision and Mission of Saint Francis University. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of academic, professional, industry and research environments, combined with demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, and institutional development (including fund-raising), which is essential. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills are also required.
