Building Engineering Officer

Established in 1926, Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC) now operates 27 services units with about 700 employees, providing care, education and development support to approximately 3,000 children daily. Descriptions

Job Duties

  • Assist in carrying out addition & alteration (A&A), improvement, repair & maintenance works from project inception to completion
  • Coordinate with in-house departments to formulate routine maintenance and preventive management plans to suit the Society's requirement; and implement repair and maintenance works accordingly
  • Prepare tenders in accordance with the Society's and Government procedural guidelines
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice on repair & maintenance works
  • Monitor works progress, handover and project acceptance to ensure quality and cost compliance with the Society's requirement
  • Manage asset documentation including contractors' submissions and update as-built drawings and documents
  • Provide emergency call support and on-site attendance for troubleshooting
  • Execute safety & health practices, and implement energy conservation plans to suit the Society's and statutory requirement
  • Perform ad-hoc duty as assigned

Requirement
  • A recognized University Degree in Building Services / Building Surveying or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience preferably in property management field
  • Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade A0) or above
  • Knowledge in building ordinance and relevant regulations
  • Self-motivated, independent and can work under pressure
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
