The Communications and Public Relations Office is looking for a versatile communications specialist who demonstrates effective communication skills and commitment to attain the best publicity outcomes for the University.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) crafting compelling narratives for different audiences; (b) ensuring the production of high-quality publicity materials, including press releases articles and line-to-take; (c) reviewing, editing articles, and enhancing the viewership of an e-newsletter which targets at international and mainland communities; (d) planning and overseeing press events; (e) assisting in crisis management; (f) enhancing stakeholder engagements and building relationships with media influencers; (g) liaising and collaborating with internal and external parties; and (h) performing other tasks as assigned. The appointee may be required to travel to the Mainland occasionally.

Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (for Executive Officer II); (iii) at least 10 years of work experience in related fields, preferably in large corporations or higher education; (iv) a proven track record of developing and executing effective communication campaigns; (v) effective team co-ordination skills which include supervising support staff; (vi) a positive work attitude and strong organisational skills; (vii) excellent time management and problem-solving skills; (viii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (ix) mature and self-motivated. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Project Co-ordinator II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test in both English and Chinese.

Appointment will be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance, operational needs and mutual agreement.
