The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) assisting in management and operation of the Institute's building premises and facilities; (b) handling research-related information and documentation for the Impact Committee and/or the Institute; (c) performing data entry and maintaining databases; (d) liaising with University Departments and external parties; (e) assisting in preparation of project outputs, progress reports and other publications; (f) assisting in arrangements on video filming for impact cases submitted to the University Grants Committee (UGC); (g) performing procurement of materials and equipment; (h) providing secretarial support to committees and working groups; and (i) performing other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree with honours; (ii) a good command of both Chinese and English (preferably with proficiency in Putonghua); (iii) a high level of IT literacy; (iv) strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; (v) a self-motivated and meticulous attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility; (vi) the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and work independently; and (vii) at least 1 year of post-qualification work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions and/or with knowledge of journal database.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
