Accountant II (carrying the job title of 'Assistant Finance Manager') (Finance Office)

The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing and administering Invoicing and Receipts functions via the Income Collection & Receipt Issuance System (IRIS), internet payment gateway, on-line QR payments, Faster Payment System, etc.; (b) implementing control measures to trace the unknown bank receipts and supervising timely preparation of bank statements reconciliation; (c) supervising the utility charges and Rent & Rates payment and recovery processes; (d) overseeing daily accounting operations, and preparing monthly investment reports and annual financial statements for a College; (e) monitoring financial and budgetary controls over student hostels; (f) devising appropriate control measures to monitor the performance of CUHK Medical Centre adhere to the pre-set benchmarks; (g) handling matters relating to accounting, budgeting, taxation and finance for PRC projects; and (h) performing other ad hoc duties assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) a professional qualification in accounting/finance (i.e. a qualified member of HKICPA or equivalent); (iii) at least 4 years' post-qualification experience in accounting in a computerised environment in a large organisation; (iv) good analytical ability, strong interpersonal skill, and a good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (v) proficiency in administering computer applications , such as SAP, Excel, Words, etc. Having hands-on work experience in handling PRC financial accounts is an advantage.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
