The Research Office is looking for a highly-motivated Assistant Officer to provide all-round administrative support to various research-related programs and research grants in the Office. The appointee will be required to :
- assist with research grant applications and report submissions;
- maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and filing systems;
- liaise with internal and external stakeholders on research-related matters;
- provide logistics support for meetings and events;
- provide support on daily office administration work; and
- perform any other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have at least Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSE or 5 passes in HKCEE including Chinese Language and English Language (min. Grade C if Syllabus A or level 2 if results were obtained from 2007 onwards) with substantial post-qualification work experience. Fresh graduates with a bachelor's degree will also be considered. The ideal candidate should be a well-organized person with good communication skills, service-oriented, attentive to details, and self-motivated. They should possess a proactive personality, a strong sense of responsibility and a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Previous experience in administration and/or research grants management in tertiary education will be an advantage. Working outside normal office hours is occasionally required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test. (Duration : 1-2 year(s), renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of a 2-year contract.
