School of Chinese Medicine

The appointee will be assigned to The Chinese University of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Specialty Clinic cum Clinical Teaching and Research Centre, School of Chinese Medicine, CUHK / Integrative Medical Centre, CUHK Medical Centre. Duties include (a) providing reception services at the School clinic; (b) handling payment and maintaining accurate daily statistics of the clinic's account; (c) handling phone calls and walk-in enquiries; (d) assisting in the preparation of the clinic's special events; (e) assisting Chinese medicine practitioners in providing treatment and taking care of patients; (f) maintaining clinic equipment; and (g) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have / be (i) completed secondary education; (ii) fast and accurate typing skill; (iii) strong computer proficiency; (iv) an effective command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) a polite, honest and responsible work attitude; and (vi) punctual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and perform tasks both independently and as part of a team. Work experience at clinics / hospitals, and relevant work experience in providing counter services or clinic front desk are preferred. Having obtained the following academic qualifications are preferred : (1) Grade E / Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR (2) any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English); and Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, "Attained" or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects. Experience in using electronic medical system or possession of certification in Chinese Medicine Clinic will be advantageous.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
