Applicants should have (i) a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology or a related discipline, plus four years' relevant post-qualification experience; (ii) a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; (iii) competency in Microsoft Office applications; (iv) competency in mass spectrometry and flow cytometry data analysis applications; (v) a self-motivated, responsible, conscientious and fast-learning aptitude and attitude; (vi) the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment; and (vii) team spirit.

Duties include (a) working under the Institute's Director and his management team to provide assistance in the daily operations of the core laboratory and communal facilities of the Institute which will house about 30 research groups with over 400 members when in full-fledged operation; (b) conducting training and assisting users with flow cytometry, liquid chromatography mass spectrometers (LC-MS), microarrays, tissue culture, and organ-on-chip system; (c) routine maintenance of the Facility's equipment; (d) booking arrangement and maintenance of the Facility's inventory; (e) attending urgent matters of the concerned facilities when necessary beyond office hours; and (f) any other duties as assigned by the supervisor as appropriate.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
