Manager (Psychological Support Service)

Descriptions

Job Purpose :
The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership and management for Psychological Support Service (PSS). S/he works closely with Service In-charge and Director to lead development and execution of the implementation planning and system building of the Psychological Support Service team to support the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) in delivering its humanitarian services to fulfill its vision and mission. S/he will ensure effective implementation of the strategies and drive implementation and action to achieve the departmental goal to improving the wellness of vulnerable people in an effective and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Service in-charge to develop the service strategy of service team in order to fulfill the humanitarian needs under the direction of corporate strategy.
  • Support the Service-in-charge to lead and initiate the development and execution of the team's implementation plan and review / enhancement plan in meeting the changing humanitarian needs in community under the direction of corporate service strategies.
  • Manage the team in planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting the service / training for ensuring the set outcome and output could be achieved in an effective and efficient way.
  • Manage and monitor the quality management and operation of the team and in compliance with the policies, regulations and guidelines of the Agency.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationship with service partners, including internal departments / offices, social service sector, funding bodies, government departments, members of the international Red Cross Red Crescent Societies to gain knowledge, support and collaboration for facilitating the achievement of the set goals.
  • Facilitate the communication with donors / funding bodies / supporters / advisors for soliciting resources to support the operation and development of the service / training.

Requirements :
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline, preferable in Social Work, Counselling and Psychology
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduation relevant work experience, with at least 3 years at supervisory role in social service sector
  • Sound skill in resources management including staff's training and development
  • Familiar with the operation environment and culture of nonprofit organizations
  • Experience in responding in emergency operations is preferred
  • Sound programme coordination, presentation and event management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Good command of both written and oral English and Chinese / Cantonese / Putonghua

Contract Period : 2 years (Renewable)
