Job Purpose :
The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership for the Hong Kong Red Cross Special Education and Rehabilitation Service contributing to the agency strategies and facilitate development of service directions. The Head works closely with the Director to lead development and execution of service strategies, assists the School Supervisors and the Incorporating Management Committees (IMCS) to deliver the statutory roles and works closely with the school leadership. The Head also gears the development and operation of the Hong Kong Red Cross Shun Lee Hostel to provide quality service.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and drive strategic development and changes in Special Education and Rehabilitation Service and ensure the implementation of services is meeting the changing service needs.
  
• Oversee management of the schools in the role of School Sponsoring Body School Manager.
  
• Provide professional advice and guidance to Shun Lee Hostel, four Hong Kong Red Cross special schools IMCs and school management in accordance with the strategic and service directions.
  
• Establish and maintain effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including funding bodies and government departments.
  
• Ensure sound financial and human resources management to be accountable and fit for execution of relevant strategies.
  
• Build and lead a competent team with a growth mindset to work effectively and efficiently.

• University degree holder in any discipline, preferable in education, social science or management.
  
• Minimum 10 years post-graduation and related working experience, in which at least 5 years should be at managerial role.
  
• Genuine commitment to education and humanitarian services.
  
• Well versed in management in education sector, experience in social welfare sector an additional asset.
  
• Mature personality, strong interpersonal, leadership and coordination skill, and good communicate style and skills to work with people with different backgrounds and at different levels.
  
• Well-organized, independent and self-motivated, sound analytical skill and able to work under pressure.
  
• Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
