Major duties include :

• Manage the day-to-day running of the Society;
  
• Secure adequate financial support and be responsible for the management of expenditure of the Society as approved by the Council;
  
• Provide leadership and general supervision of staff;
  
• Employ and dismiss staff;
  
• Attend local, Mainland and overseas meetings or activities organized by NGOs and government and establish network with such organizations to promote and develop services; and
  
• Report to the Council and take up any other duties delegated and/or assigned by the Council.

• Bachelor Degree or above, preferably in social science or social work;
  
• Minimum 15 years of working experience in social services, preferably with experience in rehabilitation services and/or working with visually impaired persons;
  
• Management, organizational and leadership experience and at least 5 years at supervisory level;
  
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage; and
  
• Experience in working with Board / Council / Committee at senior management level would be an advantage.
