Responsibilities

• Act as a backup for the Laboratory Director when required
  
• Responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality assurance system
  
• Maintain the quality manual and associated operation documents
  
• Asset and prevent any activities that would affect operational integrity, impartiality, judgment and competency
  
• Monitor laboratory practices to verify continuing compliance with documented policies and procedures
  
• Organize all external and internal quality assurance programs and review its result
  
• Implement corrective and preventive action plans of non-conformities
  
• Select, train and evaluate internal auditors
  
• Schedule and co-ordinate internal audits and management reviews
  
• Organize the regular quality meeting
  
• Collaborate in the selection of new employees
  
• Provide supervision and training of technologists and Phlebotomist
  
• Participate in the general routine and shift duty of laboratory
  
• Check and sign laboratory reports before issuance
  
• Other job assigned by Laboratory Director to give a high quality service

• Master or above Degree in Medical Science in the List of Quotable Qualifications by Hong Kong MLT Board
  
• Part I technologist registration in MLT Board
  
• At least 10 years of clinical laboratory experience, 5 of which shall be in senior supervisory level
  
• Should be trained in ISO 15189 quality system
  
• Effective communication, problem solving and time management skills
  
• Good presentation skills
  
• Ability to work with a team and independently when required
  
• Ability to perform audit, risk assessment and root cause analysis
  
• Ability to plan and implement new projects
  
• Familiar with running of Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Immunology and Microbiology disciplines
  
• Experiences in the preparation for laboratory and hospital accreditation
