The appointee will be required to (a) plan / prepare / deliver physical education / fitness room training courses; (b) design / teach new sports courses to enrich the physical education curriculum; (c) manage / coach sports teams and provide support to student-athletes; (d) coordinate / organise sports team events; (e) coordinate / organise competitions and sports exchange programmes; (f) assist in the promotion / screening process of student-athletes admission scheme; (g) assist in managing the sports facilities; (h) promote physical wellness and carry out programmes to educate students about the benefits of physical activities; and (i) serve as the convenor or members of the Organising Committee to organise the University's sports events.

Applicants should have (a) a recognised degree or above in Physical Education / Sports Science / Sports Coaching or a related discipline; (b) a recognised teaching qualification in Physical Education with supervised classroom teaching practice; (c) at least five years' working experience among university-age students and/or young people; (d) knowledge of intercultural and educational development for university students; (e) solid administration and leadership skills and a desire to mentor others to help them reach their full potential; (f) experience in developing / implementing sports and recreation programmes; (g) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate in other languages including Putonghua being an advantage; and (h) good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
