Applications are invited for the above post in the rank of Occupational Therapist I in TWGHs Kwan Fong Kai Chi School.
Attained English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language at Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent [Note];
demonstrated ability to write fluent English and Chinese, and can speak fluent English and Cantonese;
a professional Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy issued by the Hong Kong Polytechnic / Polytechnic University, or equivalent;
registered in Hong Kong as an Occupational Therapist in Part I of the Register of Occupational Therapists under the Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance (Cap. 359);
a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Occupational Therapists Board of Hong Kong;
at least 2 years of service as Occupational Therapist Il in aided special schools, or equivalent*; (*such as experience acquired during service in Hospital Authority or Department of Health. Experience acquired in non-governmental organisations may be considered subject to the availability of valid documentary proof including Certificate of Service, and the respective job duties, etc.)
demonstrated ability to cover professional and administrative aspects of Occupational Therapist I services; and
demonstrated ability to work with the school in establishing clear aims of occupational therapy services, and assist the school, teachers and parents in supporting students.
Note The school may conduct the language proficiency test for those suitable candidates who do not possess the language qualifications. Provided that the school is satisfied with the candidates' language ability for carrying out the required duties, appointment can be offered.
To establish clear aims of occupational therapy services;
to assist the School Principal, teachers and parents in supporting students; and
to take up any other appropriate duties as assigned.
Currently $51,095 - $74,515 per month (Government Master Pay Scale Points 25-34). The entry salary is subject to the assessment of the Education Bureau (EDB).
The salary is subject to downward / upward adjustment or may be frozen arising from the civil service pay adjustment / review on civil service starting salaries/pay policy review and/or as determined by the EDB.
