The Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) is looking for an IT professional to manage the Central Data Centres of the University and to help administer central systems. The appointee will also be assigned to work on project management and other tasks of ITSC.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Computer Studies, Information Technology, or a relevant subject; (ii) at least six years' work experience in leading role of data centre management and system administration; (iii) a self-motivated and mature work attitude; (iv) excellent writing and communication skills in English and Chinese; (v) solid experience in data centre infrastructure management, such as space management, electricity, UPS, air-conditioning, security and environmental devices; and (vi) solid experience in large-scale central system administration, such as various OS, system programming, middlewares, virtualisation, authentication systems, storage, backup solutions and DR.

Duties include (a) managing the infrastructure of data centres; (b) preparing operating procedures, reports, tenders and documents of central systems and data centres; (c) system development, project management and resource planning; (d) administering, supporting and developing the central systems and server farms; and (e) communication with stakeholders and vendor management.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
