Executive Officer I/II (carrying the job title of 'Communications and Public Relations Manager' / 'Assistant Communications and Public Relations Manager')

The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning, managing and co-ordinating the celebratory programmes of the 60th Anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and other University's major events; (b) supervising and executing the event logistics; (c) preparing event collateral materials; (d) liaising with internal and external parties; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out in the website : https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo ; (iii) at least 8 years' post-qualification event management experience, preferably in organising large-scale events or projects; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English; (v) excellent analytical skills with attentiveness to details; and (vi) strong organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills. Those with less but at least 6 years' post-qualification related work experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II. Shortlisted candidates will be required to sit for a written test in both Chinese and English.
Appointment will be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity.
