Applicants should have (i) a doctoral degree; (ii) substantial postdoctoral experience in the following research area(s): animal models of various age-related musculoskeletal conditions including but not limited to sarcopenia, osteoporosis and fracture; application of pre-clinical microCT in animal model and clinical applications; innovative and translational research on orthopaedic implants; (iii) coordination with industrial partners; (iv) strong research accomplishments in grants and publications; (v) active involvement in writing grant proposals; (vi) the potential to become an independent researcher in obtaining research funding and establishing significant externally-funded research programmes; (vii) a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit; and (viii) a good command of both Chinese and English.

The appointee will (a) work closely with faculty members in the Institute of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (iTERM) to engage in the development of the Center for Neuromusculoskeletal Restorative Medicine (CNRM) at the Health@InnoHK; (b) conduct research and secure research funding; (c) undertake teaching at undergraduate and / or postgraduate levels; and (d) undertake administrative duties in the Department, Faculty and University as assigned.

Appointment will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
