Associate Physical Education Officer (Student Affairs Office)

The appointee will be required to (a) teach physical education / fitness training courses; (b) coach / manage sports teams; (c) organize the sports team events / projects; (d) promote / launch the Outstanding Sportsmen Recommendation Scheme; (e) coordinate Student Athletes Development Programme and organize various tailor-made workshops / activities for the student-athletes; (f) coordinate / organize competitions / sports exchange programmes; (g) assist in managing the sports facilities; (h) support the promotion work of physical wellness; and (i) serve as the convener or members of Organizing Committee to organize University sports events.

Applicants should have (a) a recognised degree or above in a relevant area; (b) at least five years' working experience among university-age students and/or young people; (c) knowledge of intercultural and educational development for university students; (d) solid administration and leadership skills and a desire to mentor others to help them reach their full potential; (e) experience in developing / implementing sports and recreation programmes; (f) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate in other languages including Putonghua being an advantage; and (g) good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
