Department of Language, Literature & Arts - Professor / Associate Professor of English
Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education (NYC) is a self-financing tertiary institution registered under Cap 320 in April 2014 and is approved by the HKSAR Government to offer full time degree programmes. We now invite qualified candidates for the above post(s).
The appointee is expected to lead the development of learning and teaching, research and service activities organized by the Department and assist the Head in managing resources, budget and personnel.
Apart from teaching and learning responsibilities, the appointee will play an active role in (1) Staff recruitment and development. (2) Development of teaching and learning methods. (3) Research. (4) Facilities maintenance and updating. (5) Curriculum development and review.
Qualifications and requirements :
Applicants should have (1) Doctoral degree in English or a related field from an accredited institution. (2) Minimum of 10 years teaching and postgraduate research experience. (3) Minimum of 5 years scholarly activity and a record of leadership showing interpersonal skills and organizational ability. (4) A commitment to excellence in teaching at undergraduate level. (5) Substantial experience in programme management in higher education.
