Reporting to the Project Director of a university-wide experiential learning initiative, the appointee is expected to (a) work closely with the Director to actualize the unit's strategies and key objectives; (b) provide professional support in crafting proposals / reports / manuals / meeting documents, budgeting, event planning and programme management; (c) supervise a specialised team in the development, execution and quality enhancement of project deliverables related to an experiential learning programme; (d) set directives to outreach, engage and bond with various stakeholders including different university units, faculties and industry collaborators; (e) assist the Director in developing strategies to promote the programme, enhance students' experience and attainment of learning outcomes; (f) serve as Secretariat of project committees and chief liaison officer for internal and external communication; and (g) undertake other duties as assigned by the Director.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and attributes (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's degree; (ii) at least ten years' post-qualification administrative experience, preferably with tertiary institutions as well as some exposure in commercial sector; knowledge in programme management or curriculum development will be an advantage; (iii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) strong communication, management and negotiation skills, and competency in building rapport with all levels of stakeholders; (v) the capability to create a motivating and positive work environment to achieve team coherence and promote productivity; and (vi) ability to work independently under pressure and tight timelines.
The appointee may carry the job title of 'Assistant Director'. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
